When using Vista, or Remote Desktop, or a Remote Application you might experience the Windows Key becoming "stuck". Certain keys like 'u' or 'l' won't type the character but will open up another window, lock the computer, etc. If this happens within a remote app or at the login screen, you're left in a peculiar situation where you can't login or access the start menu to fix the situation. I found a pretty easy fix below.
-
Pressing the 'u' key should open some sort of Accessibility menu.
-
Choose On-Screen Keyboard and there you can toggle the Windows key until it becomes 'unstuck'.
